In Frank Waters' writings on Hopi mythology, the Blue Star Kachina or Saquasohuh, is a kachina or spirit, that will signify the coming of the beginning of the new world by appearing in the form of a blue star. The Blue Star Kachina is said to be the ninth and final sign before the "Day of Purification", described as an apocalypse or a "world engulfing cataclysm" that will lead to the destruction of the world.

The end of all Hopi ceremonialism will come when a kachina removes his mask during a dance in the plaza before uninitiated children [the general public]. For a while there will be no more ceremonies, no more faith. Then Oraibi will be rejuvenated with its faith and ceremonies, marking the start of a new cycle of Hopi life.

That time is not far off. It will come when the Saquasohuh (Blue Star) Kachina dances in the plaza and removes his mask. He represents a blue star, far off and yet invisible, which will make its appearance soon.

白話解說

「卡奇納」係咩？ 先解釋名詞。卡奇納（kachina）喺霍皮文化係一種「靈體」或者「祖靈」，代表自然界嘅力量。霍皮人會做面具、玩偶、跳舞去代表佢哋，喺宗教儀式入面扮演。對霍皮人嚟講，卡奇納唔係玩具，係好神聖嘅嘢。

藍星卡奇納係咩？ 喺 Frank Waters 1963 年本書入面，藍星卡奇納（Saquasohuh）係一個會以「藍星」形態出現嘅靈體，代表一粒離好遠、暫時睇唔到，但好快會現身嘅藍星。佢被視為「淨化之日」前最後一個預兆。
